The professional staff at Yellowstone Recovery Center is dedicated to ensuring your treatment experience is focused on you. We strive to provide treatment services that will increase serenity in daily living and improve long term recovery for individuals and families. Our clinical staff is highly credentialed and actively participates in continuing education to ensure treatment services provided are based on the newest and most promising research in the field of mental health and addictions. At Yellowstone Recovery Center we focus on a team approach in supporting clients that integrates various professionals into the continuum of care.

SHAWNA CHANDLER MSW, LCSW. Executive Director — Shawna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the State of Wyoming Mental Health Professions Licensing Board. She has provided mental health and addiction services in Wyoming for more than 15 years in a variety of settings including residential, outpatient, and correctional settings; and with a variety of clients including adults, adolescents, couples, and families. She is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and utilizes this therapy as a useful tool in treating trauma. In addition, Shawna has worked with the State of Wyoming Behavioral Health Division as a consultant through the University of Nevada-Reno to certify and train substance abuse providers across the state in relation to state requirements for substance abuse certification. Shawna has ample training in clinical supervision and is dedicated to assisting and supervising the treatment team in providing client centered holistic care.

CHERYL GOULD, Assistant Executive Director — Cheryl comes to YRC with a vast background in management and administrative work and a passion for helping others.  Her previous experience includes Executive Admin. Asst. to the Director of the Oregon Dept. of Aviation, Executive Admin. Asst. to the Director of West Michigan Academy of Arts and Academics, co-founder of the Cody Crisis Intervention Team and most recently High School Youth Worker at St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain, SD.   


MAGGI GIRAUD, MA, LPC, LAT. Therapist — Maggi has provided services for individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues for over 10 years in a variety of settings. Maggi is licensed as an addiction and mental health professional in both Wyoming and Nebraska. She worked in an inpatient treatment facility and had a successful private practice before relocating to Wyoming. She has experience with Anger Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and working with at risk populations and offenders. She is a client-centered professional adept at working with individuals from diverse cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds and providing appropriate, effective, and individualized support.

 

TRACEY AMBROSE, Case Manager — Tracey was born and raised in Wyoming, receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology in 2002. Her previous experience has been Family Educator/Case Manager working with families in their residence on a variety of Life Skills and Recovery. In addition, Tracey has worked for many years in Suicide Prevention which was often connected to addictions and mental health issues. Tracey has had personal experience with mental illness, addiction and recovery which makes her extremely passionate about this work.


Anna Gil, Administrative Assistant and Billing Specialist — Born and raised in Colorado, Anna moved to Wyoming in 2007. Working in a group home setting for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, as a respite care aide, kick started her passion for helping others. Anna started at Yellowstone Recovery Center in 2015 as Support Staff but has since moved into the position of Administrative Assistant/Billing Specialist. With a love for art and passion for providing an outlet for healthy creativity, she also leads the clients in a weekly Creative Therapy group.


KAY CHANDLER, Care Management Specialist, Facility Manager — Kay brings a variety of experience and insight to the Yellowstone Recovery Center program. Through life experience and dedication to a healing life style, Kay provides recreational programming and life skill building. Kay provides insightful support and education to clients in order to teach them techniques in coping with addiction and mental health concerns; including meditations, yoga, hiking, fishing, and many other rejuvenating activities. His focus on nutrition and healing activity in his personal life provides for a supportive role model in behavioral change for our clients at Yellowstone Recovery Center.
